The RDxPTx-P Series of Receiver/Driver Units (RDU’s) are control devices for Pan/Tilt units. They are available in high- or low-voltage versions and can be used with any of the Aigis Pan/Tilt units. The RDU accepts Pelco D code commands from a joystick via RS232 or RS485. The RDU translates these codes into voltages to drive the Pan/Tilt motors. Using Aigis RDU’s, an operator is able to set pre-positions (such as a driveway or the front door of a building) and recall them via joystick commands, causing the camera to move from it’s current position and adjust to point at the designated field of view. Aigis RDU’s also have a pre-position feature for zoom lenses. When paired with a pre-position zoom lens, the RDU is able to incorporate zoom and focus settings into stored pre-positions.
